Testimonies!

                                                                     Hello Dear Reader,

Hello Dear Reader,

My name is Cassie, and I would like to remind someone of God's sustenance and ability to keep you even in your youth. I was not a party girl, grew up with christian parents and inhaled and exhaled church on a regular basis but I knew I was empty. I think Sunday School lessons lingered on my mind from day to day causing me to wonder about the God I heard about in those classes. This God had to be more than just the stories.
I was not meant to be here threatened from since in my mother’s womb, run over by a vehicle at age 6 years or so and just walked away with a scratch on my knee , falling from a wall and broke my arm at age 7 years, almost drowning at a beach with some friends. Ah my God his hand had to be in my life and had to have a purpose for me to survive things that could have killed me. The enemy wanted me dead but God had a plan. He always does and your life is no different if you allow him.

At age nine, I vividly remember seeing in a dream a  hill that was dusty and desert looking. As I write to you I can see its scene replaying in the memories of my mind, a hill that looked so hard to climb but afar off was a true love story. Running was I to this cross, this became the beginning of a new course in my life after being awaken by my own voice yelling " I don't wanna go to hell, I don't wanna go to hell!"The following Sunday I gave my heart to the Lord and proclaimed him as my Lord and Savior. The path of Christianity is not a bed of roses. Like ordinary life some days are good and others are not so good. You must be persistent to fight on. I was never perfect in my walk with the Lord. As a teen I battled with many issues; low self esteem , acne, rejection, and so much more but I remember God's amazing love extended towards me gave me a new picture of who I really was and my desire to hold on to him through the seventeen years of knowing him spiritually. I had to learn how to encourage myself for there are days that no one is going to encourage you. His words declare that we are royalties in God's kingdom and often times we forget it but I believe we should remember we are not ordinary people when we are called the sons and daughters of God. He has treasures stored for his determined soldiers.
One of my favourite songs
"Oceans , Where feet may fail by Hillsong United" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dy9nwe9_xzw  reminds me that we just need to call upon him in times of difficulty he will rescue.

God has a way of doing things we just don't understand. His ways are not our ways nor are his thoughts as our thoughts. Today you may be battling in some area of your life wondering what is it that God can really make from your situations. You might be a Christian but struggling with an addiction I know an addiction is not something to just break off but rather a working progress. Let God deliver you and teach you how to deal with it in ways you cannot imagine, but first you must be willing. God loves you and has great plans to prosper you. Today take courage that you are not alone God will carry you through every journey of your life. If you have not trusted him you can it is never the wrong time to say God I need you in my life. We cannot make it without his guidance and even though you might think you are doing so much on your own his hands are still working behind the scenes to care and protect you. You Are Not Alone. God can keep you at all times just as he did for me so trust him and watch him work miraculously in your life.

Best Regards,
Cassie :)

"I’m a living testimony of God’s faithfulness and goodness in my life."

In 2014, I embarked on this journey of completing my Bachelor’s degree. Three years later, I graduate with a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry and Biology with First class honours. It was not easy but God kept me. Even getting to that point to begin this particular journey was not easy. I’m a living testimony of God’s faithfulness and goodness in my life. Throughout those journeys, the importance of family really stood out to me, and through it all, I love my family all the more, not forgetting my godparents! What I can say here is only a short glimpse into the latest journey.

Even before embarkment, I believe God was already preparing and making a way for me. He made it such that I didn’t have to worry about accommodation. He blessed my sister and allowed me to part-take in her blessing.

In the process, when I missed home, (and I did!), I was able to have the comfort of my family to press through it (yes, they went through with me!), and awesome friends who remembered and checked up on me. Through all of it, God let me know that I wasn’t alone. He was with me, as He promised that He will never leave or forsake His children, and my family and friends were also with me. The great comfort that their very presence brought was more than words can describe.
God provided spiritual and physical strength and comfort through His Holy Spirit and His word. In the wee hours of the morning, when exhaustion rolled in, (and it did!), God gave added grace. He gave enablement to go on and truly refreshed and strengthened me over and over and over again. When I was oblivious of nearby dangers, He provided protection through His angels. God gave me a place to worship Him freely, and to find fellowship with other believers. My experience at University drew me closer to the Lord. He provided everything that I needed to go through, and for all and in all of it, I’m thankful to God.
I gained a sound education, good friends and an even greater appreciation for family, to name a few. I’m thankful to all of my lecturers and additional resources, and was inspired to learn more in selected fields. I’m thankful for my Church family at home (Campden Park Wesleyan Holiness Church) who remembered me in prayer and encouraged me often. I got to know persons from different backgrounds and to gain good friends. I was able to be a source of encouragement and inspiration for my colleagues.
For all of it, and in all of it, I give God thanks. He’s an awesome Father!
Looking to the future, I place it all in God’s hands! He is faithful.
