Devotional: Guidance

As children, they would depend on their parents or even their teacher for Guidance throughout their lives. It's somewhat like us as Christians. We look to God for guidance in every which way even though at times we act like we can do it by ourselves. But we can't do everything or anything on our own; we need God's guidance in every decision and in every situation. In every way I think of him as a guide to a successful life. And I believe we ought to ask him for his guidance. This reminds me of two scripture verses. James 1:5-6 says "if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind". 

Prayer
         Dear  God and heavenly father I pray that you give us the guidance in our everyday lives so we can bring others to you and we ourselves try not to do things on our own but we make ourselves available to you in Jesus name amen.
