Youth inspiring you: A new chapter

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.


For some, September 4th 2017, marks the first day of a new school, a new class or a new job. For others, it may be the start of a new relationship, a new hobby or a 'new' country. For each of us, it's a page unwritten.

I've heard it worded this way, each day is like a present waiting to be unwrapped. I hope we enjoy it and not just endure it. I hope we cherish it and not aimlessly squander it. I hope we invest wisely and one day reap a bountiful increase, in love, laughter, joy and peace.

Brothers and sisters in Christ, this is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24).

And when the second day and the second week come, as God wills, may we still remember that this too is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. I pray that God continues to strengthen us and the work of our hands, in Jesus' name, amen.

If you liked Journey of the Heart, then you'll probably like Abigail's Journey. Abigail's Journey is the sequel to Judith Bronte's Journey of the Heart and is easily one of my favourite novels.  It's witty and romantic, captivating and inspiring. The writing style of the author was intriguing as was the plot of the book. Jake Murphy is young Christian man, a kind of loner, who was convicted of second-degree murder. He's out on parole for good behaviour. Jake is strange in that he can't stand physical contact. Abigail Johannes, the daughter of Izumi and John, just 18 years of age, is a young Christian woman who embodies the strength and confidence of being shaped by her loving family. Strange enough, Abigail wasn't interested in showing affection, or romance, in the slightest. Devotional: Guidance

As children, they would depend on their parents or even their teacher for Guidance throughout their lives. It's somewhat like us as Christians. We look to God for guidance in every which way even though at times we act like we can do it by ourselves. But we can't do everything or anything on our own; we need God's guidance in every decision and in every situation. In every way I think of him as a guide to a successful life. And I believe we ought to ask him for his guidance. This reminds me of two scripture verses. James 1:5-6 says "if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind".  Prayer          Dear  God and heavenly father I pray that you give us the guidance in our everyday lives so we can bring others to you and we ourselves try not to...

Devotional: Protection

There are many times in our lives when we face seen and unseen dangers. By that I mean, sometimes we can see what's ahead, and we know that it's dangerous. At other times, we are caught totally off-guard. I have experienced this before. In all of this, God is able to protect us when we are in danger. He works things out for us sometimes in ways that we can't even understand with our natural eyes. As His children, His eyes are always on us, and He sees what we can't. He is always looking out for us. Before I was saved, He was looking out for me too and protecting me from danger. Thank You Lord for your love and protection. Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank You for looking out for me and protecting me. I receive your protection and love today. I declare that your grace is sufficient for me.
